Still Rockin'

DNA

A bit of a rainy day today so rather than the out of town day we fancied, we decided to visit the Fitzwilliam Museum to see 'The night of longing: Love and desire in Japanese prints', japanese erotic art from 1600 to 1900. Beautiful prints and evidence that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

We drove to the Park and Ride and caught the bus in rather than taking the walk along the river as we have on the last two days. Walking around town we came on The Eagle pub which originally opened in 1667. It has the RAF bar with graffiti of World War II airmen covering the ceiling and walls. It was also the place where Francis Crick and James Watson announced to the pubs occupants that they had "discovered the secret of life" when they came up with the double helix structure of DNA. So that's my blip for a damp day!

I hope you've discovered something good today!
