Chinese Lantern Abstract
For most of the day it has been pouring with rain and dull as ditchwater and blip possibilities were looking desperate. However during the afternoon the clouds disappeared leaving bright sunshine streaming through the window.
Many years ago I was given a small therapy crystal ball which hangs in the window and projects wonderful soothing diffracted light patterns around the room. Whilst having a cuppa I noticed that one of the beams was falling onto a dried Chinese Lantern flower head making it look as though it was illuminated from within so grabbing the camera and macro lens and several shots later the blip was in the bag. Sometimes serendipity happens. Hope you like the result.
