Fannette Island in Emerald Bay

This is the only island in Lake Tahoe, and it is in an outstanding scenic area! We hiked all around a tiny waterfall in a stream that leads down to the lake shore...about a mile from where we were standing in this photo. It's amazing that 20 years since we've been here doesn't show except in our abilities to move up and down the trails!! The Desolation Wilderness is still an incredible place to be!

We spent a fantastic day hiking to Eagle Falls here with our beautiful 21 year old daughter...but that was 20 years ago!!!

This afternoon we are visiting another old friend....Sand Harbor. We swam there 33 years ago with Tim and Lisa, when we were young and adventurous!!!
