It was just one of those busy days without one particular thing that dominated the day. Every day I wake and do what most people do, which is visit the bathroom. I have next to the mirror my little tower of sea urchins, a small memento of my time spent in New Zealand. Today it stands as a testament to how time does not stand still and that three years of my life flew by even though at the time it never seemed like it. The delicate and fragile detail etched into the shell of my memento serves as a yet another example of the simple beauty of each day I have been honored to discover. Every morning as I stand in front of the mirror, one foot in my dreams, the other in a new day of discovery, my little sea urchins catch my eye and I remember that, so far, it is and has been worth all the ups and downs.
