A leap of faith

Three years or so I knit this cardigan, but it ended up too wide even for my well endowed chest! I still love the result and it would make a great dog walking jacket for dry cool days, but I have just found it in the depths of my 'studio' which I am trying to clear out. I know I should take the leap of faith and cut it down( the way it is knitted doesn't allow for pulling back) but I'm not sure I've got the guts to do it.
