I had to wait while the proprietor closed the shutters here this afternoon.

Thence to see "Blue Jasmine" at the Cornerhouse. A terrific film, not just for Cate Blanchett's stunning performance but for the simple, clear script and elegant editing to reveal the meaning of the story right at the end. Excellent.

Then a restaurant told us we couldn't eat for half an hour. The place was almost empty and a peek at their reservation book revealed just one booking in the entire evening. On to somewhere else.

Sadly, on getting back home, Sky had "failed" to record Coventry's latest triumph. Ah well, three points anyway.
