Cute deer

What a day ! Started by getting soaked packing the car up for a week in the Lake District. A load of gear as it included stuff for youngest son D and his girlfriend L. Although we couldn't get straight away because D had a match. So we dropped him at the ground for 1 pm and the 3 of us decided instead of hanging around for 2 hours we would pop into Bradgate Park for a walk and deer watch. It stopped raining long enough to really enjoy watch and listen to some rutting deer behaviour. At the park gates Lady Grey Kitchen Deli had opened its doors for the first time today, it would have been rude not to call in for lunch. Recommended highly, nice decor and superb food. So good we were late getting back for the football. Late enough not to pay at the turnstile :) got in the ground but no sign of D on the pitch?.. He has started every game but perhaps he's on the bench......can't see him? Half time whistle goes, definitely not on bench. He appears in the lounge, sent off for 2 yellows after 30 mins ! He lambasts the ref and protests his innocence but having watched most of his games I miss his first ever red card. At least we got away to head for the M6 straight after the end of the game. We were happy, nice lunch, D was starving. OK we exit around Merseyside and find the closest pub, the Pied Bull, order drink and food and wait and wait. After 50 mins I went to the bar asked if we might get food, oh sorry didn't anyone tell you there is an hour delay? No! They check with kitchen, another 15 mins, I cancel, get card credited and the food appears ...to bad we're off. Any way called in chippy and try saying this fast... We got a free fritter and four free forks and the chippy was called Fishicians Now arrived at the lovely Langdale ( my bolt hole) Enough of my day hope yours was good and you like the cute face blip
