Are you looking at me?

......a lazy start to my second day of the mid-term holidays and a walk to Oldany in the bright autumn sun was called. It wasn't long before the the seal colony clocked our arrival and the lone investigator was eventually joined by Alpha Male and lots of younger fellows playing chicken as they edged closer to the land creatures. At one point, a young seal lept from the water close to Owen as it chased down a fish.

Next we shopped for treats at the lovely Drumbeg Stores and attended the Soup and a Sweet event in the village hall. Local cooking standards in these parts is high, so my bowl of lentil, and mug of squash soup were delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was un-necessarily good.

Next, Nancy and Owen went mushroom hunting and came back clutching some chanterelles, before we headed round to the hotel for a pre-meal drink and to collect a carry-out tea because no-one could be bothered cooking on our first day of our holidays.

Later we marvelled at the moon and stars through a reflective device loaned to this house by this kind fellow.

Phew....all this enjoying yourself is hard work.
