The Cinema

My mate Brian is over from Tucson, Arizona, USA for the first time in 4 years. He's probably seen more rain in the past fortnight than in the previous four years. Good seeing him again and he's taking advantage of decent "brown" beer and good curry.
Last night we decided to go and see Inglorious Basterds the new Quentin Tarantino film. Everything that you would expect from Tarantino; extreme script combined with some incredibly strong performances and lighting and camera direction that you just know you've seen before as he is such a cinematographic magpie. All in all a decent effort, though he does have the tendancy to draw some scenes out beyond what is necessary. The first section is worth the ticket money itself. 6/10
