Kaleidoscope of Gemstones
A busy day! El P was here at the crack of dawn (8 o'clock), the North wind was still blowing in off the sea and it was bitterly cold. It warmed up as the day went on, 13 degrees (55 Fahrenheit) at lunch time, the wind calmed down late afternoon and we are now sitting at 8pm without the heating on, even though it was on earlier. Met M for lunch and helped her carry her latest purchase to the car!!
Today's blip is a few of my favourite gemstones which I don't have the heart to use in jewellery just yet!
The rainbow coloured strand is Hematite which has a special coating, next to it is turquoise coloured magnesite carved into leaves. Then multicoloured Beryl, two strands of the palest Aquamarine and finally some large polished nuggets of clear Quartz! One day they will be used in jewellery but just for now they live in the Favourites Box!
Friday Night, the weekend starts here ... enjoy yours x
