A bridge too far

I got up at 4.30 am to do my emails and stuff, 12 hours later we have to fix a bridge and finisher with the lights of the jeep.
This road takes us from the main road which is tarmac to our farm in Lusangazi. There are two bridges. The road is deplorable and would remain so unless we fix it.
Here we had to lift and reposition the big poles and sheet with planks.
Even though the road is busy with vehicular and pedestrian traffic, no one cares, and no one thanks us. TIM (this is Malawi).
