Form and Function

If yesterdays blip was about waiting. Todays was about persistence.

The heat arrived but not high as forecasted. So I ventured down to the harbour hoping to get a nice blue hour photo. However after hot days its rare to get great landscape photo as the heat haze (pollution) makes things murky. Indeed the air wasn't great but I could tell the birds were going to go crazy.

So with a wide angle and zoom lens I get photos of the bridge and birds... hmmm ok but not grabbing me. So with wide angle lets get the front of the Opera House... yeah ok... so pack up go home and while walking around the back of the opera house the above is clearly the better photo..... the opera house steps in the foreground, one of the sails and the glow from the inside (there was a opera on tonight).... and the star of the photo is clearly the great blue sky... oh sorry the seagulls.
