Sun-tipped

The dogs and I were out very early again this morning. The clouds had cleared overnight and consequently there was a slight frost. It was significant enough to cause vineyard owners to get their frost machines operating for a few hours. Frost warnings are all electronically monitored …it is all very high tech. Helicopters from all around the country assemble at the airfield the night before any risk of a significant frost. Then once the temperature dips to a certain level the frost machines and helicopters swing onto very noisy action. It is an extremely costly exercise to keep frost damage to a minimum when the vines are at such a vulnerable stage.
I stepped out of the vehicle at our usual parking spot and had to go no further to get a suitable image for a blip… (Well, I did go walking afterwards.) The very early sun was just up and tipping the still asleep poppies with sunlight. It was a very pretty sight looking downstream towards Mount Robertson.
