Ugly Tiles. No More.

Working on a house for a friend at the moment, and we've had some really positive feedback about the open plan layout. Next house we buy - considering ripping out the wall between kitchen and lounge and doing open plan again!

But the bit we've kept hidden is the bathroom. It's a small bathroom with some ugly ugly tiles. I spoke to my friend about replacing the tiles and the reply was merely encouragement to kill the "ugly bastards".

So I set my wife to the task. She smashed every single one, one by one, off that wall.

Obviously it was tiring for the JB so he went to sleep on the floor.

We've just reached that point with this house where it feels like we're making no progress. Done so much to this place and you wonder what we've got left to do. Which actually isn't that much. Tile bathroom and put it back together again, and tile kitchen backsplash.

I've still got little odd jobs to do, but my list is getting shorter each day now which is nice. Once tiles are done, once my jobs are done, it's onto sanding the floors and refinishing - which I am thoroughly looking forward to.
