Gugh and St. Agnes. Our return trip to St. Agnes so we could explore properly. There is a smaller island called Gugh which is connected to St. Agnes by a sand bar which is exposed during low tide, the picture here is of high tide with the sea on the both sides inundating the bar, Gugh is on the far side. The boatman who dropped us off at the quay at St. Agnes gave everyone a warning about high tide and if we were to visit Gugh to be back on St. Agnes by a certain time or be cut off by the water.

A very enjoyable day exploring the island, there's a beautiful church and several nice places for stopping for tea and cake, something we'd found hard to find elsewhere, surprisingly. We took the coastal path until we met a bull and his companion who had free wandering in this area, we chose to make a calm retreat and find another path!

The tide was very high and there was a large swell on the boat trip back to St. Mary's.
