Quince charming...

I love this flowering quince bush in my garden. In spring it produces an abundant display of very attractive vibrant orange blossom, in summer it stays bright and green no matter how hot the weather and how little rain it gets, then in autumn it produces a bountiful crop of little hard fruits.
They are inedible raw, but are apparantly delicious baked in a low oven fora couple of hours, covered with a glass or two of Marsala wine and a thick trickle of maple syrup or honey... In fact it sounds so delicious I might actually get round to trying it this year... they're a devil to peel though... :)
