The Old Coach Road

The old Coach Road at Harcombe Bottom near Uplyme in East Devon, often part of our walk on a Monday. Originally an important link between Charmouth to the East and Lyme Regis. Mentioned in Remarkable Creatures by Tracey Chevalier which we all love at book club because it's all about OUR Lyme but also has its own ghost story where a ghostly carriage pulled by four horses has been seen galloping along the coach road after dark. It's got great views of the Cobb too !
