Uplyme Pinetum

My second week with the walking group. Awoke to fog and heavy drizzle and a text to say walking was still on ! Unearthed my Wellies and set off. We walked three and a half miles in steady fine rain which is somehow wetter than other rain (!) through Uplyme Pinetum, Woodhouse hill and down through Uplyme via Hook Farm and Barnes Meadow. In case people think we gossip as we walk let me put you straight. In two weeks I have learnt much; wild flowers, wildlife, geology, history and the piece de resistance today - beauty tips (just go home and dry your hair the rain water makes it lovely and soft !). It is education and exercise rolled into one ! Love it !
