Aiguille Du Midi

After a shoer walk up the valley while a further unplanned trip to Geneva Airport was taking place, the day started in Earnest.

We couldn't resist the cable car up to the Aiguille du Midi which, at 3832m is very high indeed. I wouldn't want you to think that this required any energy at all, but we only took the car down to the 'Balcone' and walked along the high level walk to above the Mer Du Glace. The descent was very long indeed.

The clouds came and went when we were at the top, so we had spectacular sunny views as well as these moody moments.

These guys were rushing for the cable car.

We also couldn't resist the cheesy (and cheesy) chalet dinner.
