There is a kind of hum

all over the world tonight. Okay, okay, it should have been hush but that wouldn't have fitted.

All three of our bottlebrush shrubs are in full bloom and all you can hear is the hum of bees. This is a wee bit blurry but the best out of a pretty bad lot. For some reason bees don't stay still for long.

The grass will soon be a carpet of red as the flowers gradually lose their filaments leaving the bees to find a new source of pollen.
