A gift from a special friend, this yellow Strelitzia seems very happy in its spot just down from the Lapa.

However, it's unusual double "crane" flower was just too heavy for its slender stem and the first storm of summer this afternoon left it flat on the ground.

No more rain is forecast for a while so hopefully the two remaining stems intact.
