Tattooed in Rabat

I have been tattooed in Rabat!
This young girl was waiting as I came out of the National Mausoleum and I thought she was just offering to draw a picture on my hand. She had something that looked like a bag of chocolate icing sugar which I assumed would be harmless and wash off.

Later I learn that it will be a couple of weeks before it wears off. It's a henna dye.

This is a current tradition for Moroccan brides the day before their wedding.
Well, I have got some explainingto do when I get back to the UK.

Not a Hen Party but a Henna Party.....
