Great Scottish Run

What a fantastic day at the Great Scottish Run, came home in a very respectable 1:52:21 so well chuffed at that. It was a unique experience and loved getting to run with so many people of so many shapes and sizes and running ability.

I was thinking of that famous Ali quote "The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights." It's so true! I was thinking about all those mornings meeting up with my running buddy at 5am in all manners of weathers. That was where I got that time, I only solidified it out on the road.

Best part of the day for me was getting a kiss and a cuddle from daughter number 1 about half a mile from the finish line. Made all those months of training worthwhile.
