enough said!

A power out in the street today so rather than doing sensible things like gardening and log splitting, spent some hours on the valley wine route with some city friends.
It's brilliant to see their amazement that there are fantastic wines (and now a cider house) just 30 minutes from their doorstep.
S and R are Pinot Noir fans and we spent a wonderful hour sitting in a cellar with the grape grower J and a 'vertical tasting' of his wine from the 2006 vintage to the 2011.

And then it was on to wood fired pizza, Bickley Valley's best 'sparkling' and finally a blended pear/apple cider.

Home, and the power is back on :)
