Super Saturday
Today was an event which Ethan had been looking forward to for ages. Ever since I took up running in May, he has been asking to do a race too. So I had entered him in the Family Mile at the Great Scottish Run Super Saturday event.
We ran it together and he was fab! I'd fully expected that he would run out of steam quickly and would walk most of it, but he actually ran most of it. He would slow down and walk for 30 seconds or so but didn't like being overtaken by lots of people so would soon start running again! Very proud of my wee man and he's chuffed to have gained his first medal!
He had his face painted afterwards and had a "green tiger balloon" made by the childrens entertainers in George Square afterwards.
We then met up with Granny who had been at the Cruise Show at the SECC and got the subway back to where we'd left the car, before coming to Beith for the night.
My friend Jo and her 3 sons were visiting a friend in Beith too, so popped in to see us for a wee bit on her way back home. Ethan hasn't seen her sons for ages, so was good for them to have a wee play together too.
