Not a False Widow Spider
Saw on the news this morning that Britain's most venomous spider is on the rise - The False Widow Spider - about the size of a 10p piece, mainly black with a shiny black and white body... pretty in a nasty bitey spider kinda way.
Then, having seen the report, Sophie taped me on the shoulder and pointed at the ceiling. Sat above our heads was this little beasty, about the size of a 5p piece. From ground level, it looked exactly like the news report!
I took this photo to have a closer look and see if we should have been worried! Turns out it's similar, in a boggley eyed too many legs sort of way. But this one is one is just a False False Widow Spider!
