Scenic La Ropa

There is a 3-story height restriction on Playa La Ropa, which maintains the open feel of our beautiful beach. No tall hotels or condos overshadowing the sand like our neighbor to the north, Ixtapa. That restriction does, however, mean that Club Intrawest, shown here, is able to establish a commanding presence through its size, design and color scheme. We have heard that many locals do not like the bright colors (the other hotels at that end of the beach are either white or beige), but I think it is very eye-catching and quite photogenic, especially when bordered by bands of blue and surrounded by a field of green.
