A Wasted Day.

Hi Tom, I've been bored out of my brains today. Apart from going swimming this morning which was good. I've had one of those days where you just wait around. We had an oil delivery while I was at the pool this morning. When I got home I could smell oil but you always can when you have a delivery. I then went over to the washing line where the oil tank is and oil was pouring out from the oil gage. It seems the guy who delivered the oil fiddled with the gage which came away from the tank and sprung a leak. I turned the oil off and tried to call the oil company...the line was engaged. I tried to call the head office...the line was engaged. I called the lines for half an hour. I left my name with a machine for them to get back to me, they didn't....finally I got through. The guy on the end of the phone couldn't do anything but took my details and said they would send someone round but they would call me back first....I waited for the call....and waited. Nothing. Then I had another call and Sod's law they returned my call so I was engaged and they left a message! They weren't coming out as when the driver left it wasn't leaking. I called our friend Richard who can turn his hand to anything for help. He said he would be round in half an hour or so....two hours later he came. I'm very grateful to him as he sorted everything out for us. The oil got turned back on which means I can still use the aga and we will have hot water and it wasn't too much money wasted. Yesterday I bought the sign I have blipped for the kitchen. I thought it was made for me. You know how much I hate cooking and I know how much you all hate eating what I've cooked....especially when I've char cooked it! So thats the new addition to the kitchen. The kittens are ready to go now. I think one has gone which is the little boy called Socks, so only the little girl to find a home for. Nick and Alex have come home happy from work as the have got their Glastonbury tickets for next year today. Match night tonight for you. Hope the Yellow jackets win.
