Wuthering at Top Withens
Still smiling!
Lunch stop half way through our walk, from Penistone Hill car park,( near Haworth), to Top Withens.
This ruined farm house was the inspiration for Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights.
SEE HERE
It was a very misty day, as you can see.
The collage shows the reservoir where we set off, when the sun was trying to shine.
It soon became misty, and so there were no views today.
A photo also of the Bronte Falls, again shrouded in mist.
However looking on the Brightside, the company was good, (although only nine of us)
It was warm, and the heavy rain kept away.
So we really enjoyed the walk.
Just about to dish up lasagne for tea (wonder where that came from!!)
Followed by homemade blackberry and apple pie.
Oh and a glass of wine!
