Everyone loves packing...

…right?

So this is only half of the kitchen stuff that I will be taking back to university tomorrow. It is always annoying trying to think about what you will desperately need, and what you will only be using every once in a while so is there much point taking them. Unfortunately for my poor, long suffering, Father (who has to try and fit it all in the car!)…Mum and I tend to err on the side of taking more “just in case”.

It is really strange packing to once more go away to be honest…it feels like I have never really been home. And when I think about it, I really haven’t that much this year just gone. Will be trying to rectify this a little more this year…since it really is not too far away on a train when I think that I have had to travel much further whenever I have come back from France.

It was lovely to spend the time with Mum, even if it was only packing to go away…but it is lovely to hear her opinion on the clothes, shoes, etc. that I should take…especially since I’ve been missing that mother-daughter time all year. An evening in with Mum and Dad was exactly what I needed…as once more, I’m going to miss them a lot when I go.

The eternal trials of a language student. When I live in Caen, I miss university and home…at home I miss university and Caen…and at university I miss Caen and home. Hopefully at some point I will find something that makes me stick to one place. On verra.
