A Wave to the Rock
I usually don't shoot up the river, for no other reason that the views are better shooting down.
Here is a shot looking towards Dumbarton Rock, an iconic view from the southern side of the river with the castle sitting majestically surveying the channel. Dumbarton Castle has the longest recorded history of any stronghold in Great Britain. It overlooks Dumbarton, and sits on a plug of volcanic basalt which is 240 feet (73 m) high. The given name of the rock is Alt Clut or Alcluith literally meaning "Clyde Rock".
There is little else to say tonight suffice this afternoon the wind was strong and whipped the waves into a frenzy as they hit the shallows the horsetails white in contrast to the darkness of the river
Summer has passed us by now I fear and autumn has her glorious grip firm on the weather. I hope you enjoy the shot and perhaps best in large
