My first birthday as a Mommy xxxx

I am so happy as I type this (with little Daisy curled up beside me purring away) I could explode. So much to write about today, I'm bound to miss bits out, but here goes.....

Eva woke me at 9 am this morning, my first birthday waking up as a Mommy. I went over to her in her bed, and was met with the usual huge smiles and excited kicks in the air of her little weggies.

I'd got my mom, sister and Aunty Lynne all coming round between 10 and 11, so I left Eva in bed with C Beebies on my iPad whilst I had the quickest ever shower and got ready, then got Eva sorted, wearing her new outfit that I'd saved for today (in age 9-12 months). I think I must have given her 50 cuddles and kisses before we even got downstairs.

Mike came home for lunch and to give me my prezzies and cards which was lovely (got my 1st happy birthday mommy card) but he missed seeing Eva as she'd gone down for her sleep.

Liza fed Eva her oat and apple baby cereal this morning, and I did warn her that she probably wouldn't eat much, and that's why I didn't mix her much up. To which Eva typically completely cleared the bowl. So I mixed up a 2nd lot, and she practically demolished that portion too!! We all found it hilarious! (I was secretly a bit put out, but glad at the same time to discover that yes she could eat lol) Liza sarcastically offered to come back round after work to give her her dinner lol, to which I took her up on the offer, so she came back round with Lorna just after 5pm. Yet again, she finished off the lot, a whole portion of the roast chicken dinner I'd made of chicken, potato, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. I did mix some gravy in, and Eva could not get it down her fast enough. I really could not believe my eyes. I said to Liza it's not like I feed her in a different way, it's just typical! I did do the BLW afterwards with some plum for dessert, and she practically ate half a plum (bar the skin) Liza did freak out a bit that she might choke, but obviously she was fine. I have no clue why all of a sudden she was eating everything put in front of her, but I wasn't complaining. I even video'd her eating it all.

I took Eva to be weighed once she woke up from her sleep this afternoon. She is 33 weeks old today, and has gone from 20lb 7oz four weeks ago, to 21lb 7oz today. So has put exactly 1lb on in 4 weeks.

My dad came round when we got back from the health visitors, and Eva had a good roll around on her mat and played with her rattles (she loves shaking her rattles) and then my brother came round on the night with my prezzy and card.

Becky Francis even popped in unexpectedly with a prezzy and card.

It was then time to settle Eva down for the night. Mike still wasn't back from work so I gave her her bath, gave her a big milk feed and settled her down. I did have to go back up a few times and ended up giving her calpol as her cheeks looked a bit rosy and she wouldn't settle so I wondered if it could be her teeth (she even took calpol practically straight away, just amazing) then off she went to sleep. It's 12.30 am as I type this and touch wood, she's not stirred all night yet.

We had a curry for dinner, and the curry house even threw in some free poppadoms and sheet kebab (I did tell them it was my birthday and they could throw in some freebies if they wanted but didn't expect them to lol).

So, despite the fact I've not been out for my birthday, now I'm a mommy, I can hand on heart say that I have had the best, most fulfilling birthday of my life. My heart is filled with so much love I could literally burst. The best birthday/Christmas/all in one present I could ever have wished for in my entire life, was having my wonderful baby girl who I love with my life, soul and every beat of my heart xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
