Battling the evening traffic

One of our supermarket chains here (called Spinneys) have what they call "Market Day" on Mondays. A few weeks ago, I discovered that a Spinneys on the other side of town had better (looking) produce on market day than the usual branches we shop at, so we decided to do our fresh food shopping from there.

This is us driving to Spinneys at Al Ghurair City. Madness! It works if you get there before 6pm on a week day, but after finishing work at 5:30, then battling through evening traffic, only to find early birds had got the best produce... we won't be doing this any time soon.

G got this shot as we came out of the tunnel on to Maktoum Street in Deira. Last day of the month. Can't believe it is October already!! Yikes!

Last year, a few of us blippers - Tigg, SweetArt, Jellyfox (when she was blipping), rachelwhynot tried to post something Pink everyday to support Breast Cancer Awareness month. It was GREAT fun. Anyone out there who would like to set up the challenge on blip? (Daff Snaps did it for us last year). On the last day (actually - 30th October), it would finish it off really nicely if you could post a picture of someone you know personally who has or has not survived breast cancer.

I apologise in advance if I have missed any of my blip buddies out in that list above. If you have time, have a look through what was posted last year. Some really original ideas...
