Main Street

Positively cool today as well as very overcast. The clouds are only a few hundred feet above us on the hills. We decided to take the car into Menaggio for some more last minute shopping, as well as having a trip to the local hardware shop.

The photograph shows one of the main streets in the centre of Menaggio. Apart from the Church on the left there are mainly shops and an ice cream shop. The main Piazza lies at the end of the street and the lake just beyond.

The ferries are now on their autumn timetable, and there was a very autumnal look as everybody was quite dressed. No sleeveless shirts or shorts today. Jeans and a warm jacket are the order of the day.
