On The Roof

An uninspiring blip, I know, but it just about sums up our day, most of which was spent on the flat roof painting the recently replastered outside walls above the kitchen and admiring the chimney that was repaired on Friday; our neighbours were having their roof replaced and, as we knew that our chimney was in danger of falling down in the next strong wind, we asked the firm doing it to re-render it at the same time. As it turned out, one of the lads doing it was an ex-student of mine and he did a very good job with the cement.
