Straight talking school day

Two school open days today, villages apart. Saw Tess get busy with some art in the morning (which she got an award for later in Assembly) and then off to Meldrum Academy for S1 parents open afternoon to catch Sam in science, have his pastoral care teacher describe Sam to a "t", hear that the s1 year group this year are the most settled ever and have a muffin with the headmaster (and loads of other parents). Reassuringly great school. And in between me being a model mother, the miracle hairdresser snipped my barnet and temporarily rid me of my curly frizz, still a novelty every time she does it. Normal Frizzy service shall resume tomorrow.
