Ralf GUM - Take Me To Your Love ft. Monique Bingham (Ralf GUM Main Mix)

I love productive days. This was an awesome one. I'm slowly putting together pieces for my exhibition this Sunday night. It's exciting. The selection will be a lot "calmer" than my usual fair of double / over exposure shots. Plenty of colour as per usual but a few black and white shots, all in various sizes to excite the audience. I personally just want to do what I do. I often hold back about my love for photography. I hate the losers who pick up an SLR and just bandy it around as a mark of professionalism. It's a tool to express yourself and I bloody love it. Any camera is a good camera, as is with any pen, brush or instrument. Sure, craftsmanship is great (and another topic entirely), but when one wishes to express themselves, it doesn't matter. I remember watching Spartacus for the first time on VHS in Pan & Scan; it was powerful and unforgettable. I've watched it tonnes of times afterwards on various formats, at the theatre, on DVD widescreen, Blu-ray, and even HD DVD but it still has such an arresting expression that I simply can turn away at any point from the film. Cameras are the same.

I'm doing this for me. I love photography.
