In other news, I've just enrolled on a photography course that looks rather interesting. It's by way of a celebration because, after two and half years on a 'zero hours' contract, and over 5 years after being made redundant from his job of 35 years following some very creative accounting** by the former directors (one of whom was immortalised in song by a local band), hubby has a permanent job :-) :-) :-)

** the strike mentioned in the report never took place. Hubby (and others) worked until 10 pm on the Friday night, then received their redundancy letters on the Saturday morning.
