Get On Your High Horse !

This old well-worn mounting block is at the 'Backs' of the colleges by Queen's Road, Cambridge. If the horse was too tall, the steps would help the rider to mount. He could then gallop along the leafy pathways of the 'Backs' and either return, or ride to another block to dismount.
