Proudest Hummingbird...

He stood straight up, as if posing proud and strong for me.  
So I snapped away.  

Just standing there, not drinking nor flying.  
Perhaps thinking of his next move
or just basking in the early morning breeze.

Eventually, taking a brief sip before flying off.
Then whipping around and playing with the other hummingbirds
and behaving like them for the duration...


Edit: Big day tomorrow.  I didn't realize I get a new camera until richieboo mentioned it.  Icing on the cake!  I'm really excited.  I only hope my pic lives up to my dreams and expectations.
