Fallen flowers

These are the remains of camellia flowers that have fallen from a potted plant in the nursery area at our house. We dug up and potted the plant because it was likely to be damaged by house repairs.

I was interested to see how these 'double' flowers are put together, as this single layer of fused petals is the base of the flower, all that remains after it fell from the plant and other parts of the flower, including the other petals, blew away.
