LE SHUTTLE

7:12 am and a swifter journey than the outward one. Then we'd had a 50 minute delay because of "electrical problems in the tunnel". I was just so glad we were not in the tunnel like the train before us at the time!

We had cornflakes and a cup of tea in the car as we zoomed across/through/under, and we were parked up behind someone who is in Clapham Cave Rescue, not a few miles from where we live. Small world, even under the ocean. Though I tried not to think about that, under the ocean.

PS: I can recommend the Holiday Inn near Calais and the tunnel for anyone who needs a stopover on the way home.
