The Long Trek Home
I was supposed to get my iPhone 5S today at TD Curran, the local Apple dealer. There's a $200 trade-in allowance on my 4S, and the 5S costs $200 if I renew my contract -- in other words, it's a free phone. Unfortunately, the latest shipment was much smaller than expected, which means that I'm now first on the list for the next shipment, but I won't get my phone until October 7th.
While I was waiting for the final word on my phone order, I shot some photos of the fishing boats at the harbor and got some decent blip material, but then I got this email from the artist who painted the life-sized portrait of a giraffe that I blipped a while ago:
Hello!
Lanny Little created another fantastic mini Art Documentary featuring my 20 foot giraffe painting as we walk her 7 miles to the Whatcom Museum. It's super fun to see! Enjoy!
We'll be walking Long Tall Sally back home this afternoon.... so come join us if you wish! We leave the museum at 4:00!
Thanks,
Lorna

How could I resist a bliportunity like that?
Here's a photo of the museum staff taking the painting down off the wall.
