Sticks of cinnamon?

Made it to the harbor this morning and this is the best I have. But I learned a few lessons about shooting with the iPhone:

1. Turn auto-lock to the longest setting and have the camera app open otherwise you will lose the shot because the camera has automatically shut down.

2. If you hear a lot of geese or bird calls, and they are getting louder, be ready! A huge flock flew directly overhead on their way south and I missed them.

3. If you wear glasses figure out how to deal with them. I tend to pull mine down my nose to look at images close up but have to move them back up to see the object in the distance. Haven't worked this out yet.

These may seem basic, but I was never really trying before with my phone, and now I am.

Also, am looking in to a telephoto. Lastly, what are the rules of engagement when posting images of people out in public? Does the distance from a subject make a difference? Thoughts?
