Journey Home

What a day! after a severe storm warning last night the debris was evident this morning when we set off from Nannup where we have been staying for a weekend break.
Half an hour into our journey we were met by the flooded road above we got through by driving on the wrong side of the road, fortunately a very quiet country road, the white car pulled over while we drove to the other side.
The trees were scattered over the road in patches where the storm had raced through the Forrest, branches as well as limbs from the trees were everywhere, in some areas the whole tree was across the road, at one point Glyn pulled over to help two guys who were chopping up a jarrah that was too heavy to drag off the road, so after some chopping and shifting we finally set off on our way.
Glad to say we are now back home with our feet up with a glass a wine reflecting on a great weekend away, despite the storm.
