Asking for too much?
The whole of today we looked west for the predicted clouds that would bring welcome and much needed thundershowers and rain ... over the radio it was announced that Cape Town was (again) flooded, mud slides have occurred and emergency services were on stand by ...
400 Km's away, it could not have been a more peaceful and a quiet sunny day without a single cloud in the sky ....
Yet, at dusk, there appeared a few lost, insignificant clouds that quickly multiplied and as darkness settled, we had a good shower that poured for about 30 minutes!
Our resident frog in the indoor garden on the stoep/veranda has been telling us since yesterday that something was 'in the air' - he's been singing his click-song, sometimes reaching quite high pitches .... becoming very adamant and sure that rain was on its way!
It is almost 8pm and we are thankful for the rain that has fallen for the last 30 minutes!
Hope that tonight will be no different! And tomorrow, and the day after!
