Banned from the kitchen!

I arrived home from walking the dogs to find the above appliance outside my house. There wasn't a fire, it was a planned visit.

The fire service were giving out free smoke alarms and looking at general fire safety. So we now have 2 new smoke alarms to let us know if there is a fire.

They are very sensitive and will last for 10 years so we needn't worry about battery changes or anything. If things go wrong we ring the fire service and get it replaced.

We can now rest better knowing the alarm will sound and we will have enough time to get out of our house before the fire takes hold as these alarms are so sensitive.

It is because of the sensitivity I feel I should be banned from the kitchen! I fear this alarm will be on overtime in my house and will probably only last 5 years!
