Park

Went to the supermarket and then read some Hideous Kinky. It was a particularly poignant chapter because it was Christmas Day.

Went for a walk in Marble Hill Park. Betsy took her skateboard. Al, for some reason, was wearing a long, thin burgundy and white spotted silk scarf that is most certainly not his. With his cobalt blue jumper, bed-head and tattered jeans he looked like he was going to a fancy dress party as Lucian Freud or similar starving artist.

We came back and Al - having been inspired by a tidy up of his room - played with loads of old toys. Betsy was drawing of course, always drawing and writing. I did more hexagons (I think it may end up a cushion cover) and in the background we watched a brilliant documentary called Punk Britannia. Not enough Blockheads or X Ray Spex for me but loads of great footage all the same.
