L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

A hive of industry in the past, this is now a quiet little town. Except on Sunday mornings, when the place is invaded by stall-holders and huge crowds arrive to wander round the market. The real attraction though is the antique and brocante village that lines the canal side. I blipped it last year with more information.

And there, in the middle of it all, was this lady singing her heart out, as only the French can do. She was attracting an enthusiastic crowd and the chap in the hat was selling quite a few CDs. Interestingly, as she walked off, the chap in the hat took the stage and also sang.

And yes, to those who are counting - that is three markets in as many days. It’s what we do - well for a few hours in the morning anyway!
