Bako National Park
This is the oldest National Park in Borneo, reached by speedboat down river from Bako village. Trekked through the mangroves and forest to this deserted beach, where we enjoyed a picnic - as did a monkey which, while we were paddling in the sea, undid the zip on Tess's rucksack and made off with the remains of her lunch; another couple had enjoyed watching the performance but I didn't get back in time to get a blip of the culprit, though it might have been one of these silver leaf or macaque monkeys we saw later, despite their innocent expressions!
Also saw plenty of wild boar
